Instead of having a solely vertical structure, wherein every layer is responsible for only the layer below, we have opted for a somewhat more horizontal structure. For example, in our improved company structure, district and store managers are in the same managerial layer. This allows for more effective and honest communication, and closes the gap between the different roles.
